FxPro: the same register checks applied
This site links to an account with FxPro, an international broker. This site is not the broker, is not a regulator and takes no money from the reader. FxPro offers contracts for difference on currencies, metals, indices, shares and crypto. A CFD is an agreement on a price, so no asset is delivered and nothing is registered in the client's name.

The same register checks, applied to the broker
The check this site teaches for Kenyan platforms applies to any broker, including FxPro. Find the legal entity named in the client agreement, not the brand in an advert. The FxPro group operates through several regulated entities: one authorised by the FCA in the United Kingdom, one by CySEC in Cyprus, and one by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas. Which entity serves a client depends on the country of residence and is named in the client agreement.
Take the exact legal name from that agreement and search it on the register of the regulator the entity names. Do not rely on a logo or a link from a website; search the regulator's own register yourself. A register entry shows what the entity is authorised to do and in which category. That is the same step as checking the CMA licensee list, but for the regulator the entity actually uses.
A Kenyan licence and an offshore CFD account
A licence in a Kenyan category, such as a broker or investment adviser licensed by the CMA, is a permission for named activities in Kenya. An account with an offshore CFD broker is a different situation. The FxPro entity that serves a client in Kenya is likely to be the one authorised in The Bahamas or Cyprus, not by the CMA. That does not make the account unlawful; it means the regulator is not the CMA, and the protections are those of that regulator's rules.
A mobile-money deposit, such as a payment sent by M-Pesa, does not prove anything about the receiver. M-Pesa is a payment rail, not a regulator. The fact that a platform accepts M-Pesa says only that it has an arrangement with a payment provider. It does not show that the platform is licensed by the CMA, or by any regulator, or that the money is protected.
What to read before opening
Before opening an account, read the client agreement and the risk warning. The client agreement names the legal entity and the regulator, and explains the terms of the account. The risk warning states that CFDs are leveraged and carry a high risk of losing the money deposited. FxPro states that negative balance protection applies to all clients, and that client money is held separately from the company's own funds. Retail leverage limits differ by regulating entity.
The platforms offered are MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, a browser platform and a mobile app. A practice account exists, which lets a reader see how the platform works before depositing money. None of this is a promise of profit or safety. The risk warning is the part that matters most: read it before you pay anything.

FxPro is not licensed by the Capital Markets Authority of Kenya. An account is opened with a company regulated outside Kenya - the group is authorised by the FCA in the United Kingdom and CySEC in Cyprus - so a resident deals with a foreign firm and the protections of a locally licensed one do not apply. Moving foreign currency abroad for trading goes through a bank or a mobile-money provider and is subject to their rules and to Central Bank of Kenya requirements. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
Before you open an account
If you are considering an international CFD broker, the same checks apply: find the legal entity in the client agreement, search the regulator's register it names, and read the risk warning. An account carries a high risk of losing the money deposited.
